About the event
Join award-winning author and illustrator Pedro Martín for a presentation about his Mexikid graphic novel series and the importance of documenting and sharing stories of migration.
This free event is open to the public and will be held in the church at Stuhr Museum. Zines created by students in Grand Island Senior High's Newcomers Program as part of the "Memoirs of Migration" project will also be displayed for attendees to read.
Doors open at 6 pm, with the presentation beginning at 6:30 pm, followed by a Q&A and book signing.
Rooted Books & Gifts will have copies of the Mexikid graphic novels available for purchase.
