Join us in celebrating Welcoming Week on Tuesday, September 16th at the Grand Island Public Library. The Library is hosting a Makerspace Connect program for the community.
This adult program will be from 6-7:30 pm.
Stop in and make a cool book bag for free. Book bags are limited. You can also make a magnet, button, or craft for free. This program is sponsored by the Grand Island Public Library Foundation.
While here you can take a tour of the Makerspace, check out the Stuhr Museum Exhibit: “Then and Now: The Flavors of Grand Island.” This visual exhibit highlights the intersection of past and present by pairing historic images of Grand Island buildings with photos of the immigrant-owned restaurants that now call those buildings home. Each featured restaurant is not only a place to eat, but a reflection of the families and cultures contributing to Grand Island’s evolving story. This…
